UK Air Pollution
This week the bbc are looking into UK air pollution linked to the early death around 40,000 people (BBC NEWS).
Living in Cirencester within the beautiful countryside of the Cotswolds I am extremely lucky to have somewhat less polluted air than those living in the city, but there are still some further meaures which people can take to decrease the amount of pollution of which they come into contact with.
Here is a list of options:
. Cycle, walk or run to destinations within a 2mile distance. This for one increases the amount of exercise which you will be getting on a daily basis, reduces your input towards the pollution problem and also gives a fanastic boost of vitamin D. For personal training and other outdoor exercise alternatives within the Cirencester area click here.
. Keep all rooms well ventilated. This one is often overlooked but making sure all rooms are fully ventilated offering fresh air will reduce the risk of mould occuring and in turn reduce the risk of cardiovascular related illnesses.
. Go green. Now I dont meen changing your car for an electric alternative but instead increase the amount of oxygen providing plants within your home, some great options are Aleo Vera, Peace Lillies or Dragon Plants.
These are only some ways to decrease the pollution issue and im sure there are many more but making small changes will make a big difference.
