Motivation | Cirencester Personal Trainer

You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink.

After talking to a client last week after our training session it got me thinking, allot of people contact a personal trainer with the hope that once they start exercising, start eating healthy that they are going to reach their goals instantly, that a personal trainer is the magic pill, I'm afraid to say this is not the case.

As a fitness coach who has worked in the industry for a long period of time in various areas (private health clubs like what was Simones in Cirencester, Dyer Street, health spas again like what was Le Spa in Stratton or as an exercise class instructor for Your Community Fitness) I can tell you now it takes commitment and consistency to reach your goals, yes employ a personal trainer to help but don't expect them todo the work for you, they are there to guide and instruct you but that is only for the one or two hours a week that you are training with them, the rest you have todo yourself behind the scenes.

Train hard, eat clean and you can make it happen.

Here are 5 Ways To Keep Yourself Motivated In The Gym/Life:

1. Split your goals down into smaller bite sized chunks

2. Find a training partner/make yourself accountable/join a club

3. Make a gym playlist

4. Make your goals/aims public

5. Write a should do/could do/would do list
